This 2001 Kawai GM-10 offers the touch and musical experience of an acoustic grand piano in a compact five-foot size. Our inspection found the piano’s primary structure to be in good condition. The frame and support structure are stable, the bridges and soundboard are free of cracks, the soundboard retains appropriate crown, and the strings, keys, action components, hammers, and pedals are generally in good working condition. The hammers show very little wear.
The polished ebony cabinet presents well overall, with several cosmetic blemishes consistent with use, including scratches on the music desk and flip-up lid section and wear to one of the side logos.
This piano is currently undergoing final preparation by Laursen Piano Service. Planned work includes tuning stabilization at A440, evaluation and treatment of several lower-octave tuning pins as needed, final bass-damper adjustments, interior deep cleaning, and a complete performance check. Final technical condition will be verified before delivery.
The Kawai GM-10 is a practical, approachable baby grand with Japanese construction, a responsive action, and a space-friendly footprint. A detailed inspection report is available upon request.
