This Japanese-built Kawai K-25EA is a 48-inch professional studio upright offering the stronger tone, longer strings and substantial construction associated with a full-size upright piano.

Originally purchased new by its prior owners, it received regular family use through approximately 2013 and has remained in remarkably clean condition.

Kawai designed the K-25 series as a professional-quality upright with sturdy construction and a responsive action. Its 48-inch height gives it greater tonal depth and projection than a smaller console piano, making it well suited for a serious student, teaching studio, church, school or family looking for a high-quality home instrument. A soft-close fallboard and matching adjustable bench add convenience and practicality.

This piano has been professionally inspected and brought to A440 concert pitch. Its frame and support structure are stable, and the bridges and soundboard are free of cracks. The pinblock and tuning pins are in good condition, and the strings are complete and free of rust, buzzing or tonal loss. The dampers and pedals function properly, and the keyboard components are clean and well preserved.

The piano initially required substantial pitch correction and multiple tunings. That work has been completed, along with regulation, adjustments for lost motion and let-off, and a detailed deep cleaning.

The polished ebony cabinet is in excellent overall condition, with only minor blemishes on the upper-right portion of the lid and the left leg. The hammers show light normal wear, but the tone remains even. The matching adjustable bench is also included and has one small upholstery imperfection.

This is an attractive, well-preserved Japanese Kawai upright with the size and construction to support a developing pianist for many years.
