This Kawai UST-8 comes from a local church and has been serviced by Laursen Piano Service for about 20 years, giving us firsthand knowledge of its history and maintenance.

The UST-8 is a durable 46-inch institutional studio upright designed for churches, schools, teaching studios, or busy family homes. Its heavy-duty double casters allow it to roll and reposition easily.

This piano has been professionally inspected and tuned to A440 concert pitch. Its frame and support structure are stable, the bridges and soundboard are free of cracks, the soundboard retains good crown, and the pinblock and tuning pins are in good condition with no concerns about tuning stability. The keyboard, action, dampers and pedals are functioning properly, and all keytops are intact. A matching bench is included.

The cabinet and bench show cosmetic wear consistent with their age and prior institutional use. The hammers have normal wear and grooving, but the tone remains mostly even. Optional hammer shaping, voicing and light regulation could further refine the instrument. Our inspection also found light, age-appropriate string oxidation with no noticeable performance loss.

This is a solid, proven institutional piano with known local history, dependable construction and the mobility needed for a church, school, studio or busy household. A detailed inspection report is available upon request.
